Hestia

Hestia was the Goddess of the hearth and home. The hearth was the central fire of an ancient Greek home or town and was a place of refuge to travelers. This meant she was also the goddess of cooking family meals and bead, and the sacrificial flame which was what the fire that the ancient Greeks burnt their offerings to the Gods on. This meant she got some of each offering that was burnt for the Gods.

Parents

Just like lots of the Olympians and Hades, her parents were Cronus and Rhea, and she was eaten by Cronus as a baby before being saved by Zeus. She was the first to be eaten because she was the first to be born.

Important Relationships

She was a goddess who had sworn never to marry. She was not an Olympian like most of her siblings but still an important part of the ancient Greeks mythological system.
