Rhea

The titan of female fertility and motherhood. Her name means flow or ease, so she also represented the low of time through her marriage to Cronus. She was known as the Great Mother.

She was the wife of Cronus and queen of heaven and had six of his children (Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus) . Cronus had heard a prophecy that his children would overthrow him so he ate them as soon as they were born, but Rhea had her youngest, Zeus, in secret and tricked Cronus into eating a rock instead. She his Zeus for his childhood in a cave in Crete and he later overthrew his father.
